Can you get chicken pox from doing the chicken dance?
You can't get chicken pox from doing the chicken dance! Kento was gone... and now, Atsuro got the chicken pox... While we were changing Konoha this morning, we noticed a little spot that looked just like Kento's first pox... so Mommy took her to the doctor. It was a false alarm and she is Genki as ever! The kids hadn't heard the word "chicken-pox" before... they are convinced that Kento got sick from doing the chicken dance. Today we made chicken masks during craft time. I was hoping we could keep them for the next stage performance/event but they loved them so much that they looked like they would cry if they didn't get to take them home.
En el break de las clases de la manana y la tarde fui a RKK. Otravez me invito Jeff a hacer ese LISTENING TEST/NARRATION. Otra vez nos fue muy bien. No se complica nada... Fumos... lo hicimos... y nos pagaron y FINITO hasta la proxima vez que se les ofresca. Super buenisima onda.
En la noche fui a la clase de ATTACK de Kayoko. Esta buenisima. Despues de mucho tiempo regreso Kinu al gymnasio. Tenia mas de un mes que no la veia fuera de JB. Creo que como parte de CONTINUING EDUCATION or something, los instructores de Konami tienen que asistir a otras clases. Hoy YAMAMOTO (el que hace caras de caricatura y no pudo sustituir la clase de COMBAT x k se le acababa el GENKI) tuvo que tomar la clase de Kayoko. Pobrecito... se estaba muriendo... pero nomas con ver sus caras en el espejo me diverti un chorro. La clase se me fue volando y creo que sude como 2 litros! Por el amor de dios! Hima hima hump
Today was really hima hima... (hima means free/boring) in Japanese. In between lessons I didn't have Kumon or any privates... and the afternoon was easy peasey... the kids just wrote postcards and did a recording... during the day it was PE... so I really didn't have to plan any lessons. In the evening there was no Konami... so I cleaned house and went to starbucks around 9:30. I met up with Tomoyuki for dinner... He was supposed to have gone to English class, but he showed up all sweaty, and late... and what really gave it away was his bag-- I know that is his dance shoes bag! Arghhhh! He skipped class AND showed up late to a date to go salsa dancing!!!!!!!!! What can I say??? It sounds like something I would do. I can't blame the guy. He's addicted! Anyway, we went to have sashimi behind the Daiei on the Shimotori... The octopus was really fresh... I even felt a little sucking action on my tongue -- and YES... I am sure that it was only the octopus! (In case your mind is in the gutter yo!) Tomu is such a sweet tooth! He couldn't go home without dessert. He wanted Hagendaaz... but it was already closed, so instead we had aning toufu at a little shop behind the Ginza. It was in a little alley way. I don't know how he finds these places. OYASUMI!

Las viejas se estan poniendo bravas
Tuve mi clase en Shirayuri como normal... Los ninos con los que empeze en abril (un grupo de 25 ninos de 3 a~os que veo nomas por 30 minutos una vez a la semana) ya se saben todo el alfabeto! Pueden reconocer todas las millusculas o miyusculas -- hay que chistosa palabra... creo que nunca la habia visto escrita... parese algo raro del mar... coctel de pulpo con miyusculas... miyusculas con mayonesa (a la japonesa).... anyway.... they know all their lower case letters by name and sound. Either they are really smart or they have a kick-a** teacher!!!!!!!!!
Despues de la clase de shirayuri me fui a la de las madres... Hicieron una fiestesita en el chapoteadero con los ninos y ordenaron pizza. Fue un completo desmadre -- y super ovio que no es un buen ambiente para tener una clase de ingles... pero a quien se le ocurre? Yo jale... pero al final de la clase salen con un monton de mamadas de que quieren dividir la clase y que no quieren que les ensene lo que me sugerio Adan que les ensene x q ya lo estan viendo en otra clase k estan tomando atravez de Adan pero con otro profe... anyway... pero tampoco quieren usar ningun libro... y tampoco me dan ninguna pista de lo que quieren aprender... en fin... se empezaron a poner exigentes... yo creo que ya era tiempo x k estaba too good to be true. A mi no me conviene por nada ni cambiar el horario ni bajar el precio. Si deciden quedarse como esta la cosa... les enseno... y si deciden ponerse bravas que se encuentren a otra maestra.... x k GUESS what?????? Me contactaron de la universidad de Kumamoto. Hunger and Food in Latin American Literature Part II
Parese que fui a sumo en nave... pero no. Fuimos a comer NABE a un restaurante donde estaba un sumo. En la manana pase todo el dia haciendo NONBIRI...(hechando la hue...) y arreglando my CV para mandarlo a la universidad de Kumamoto. Me entro una llamada de Luz, pero cuando cheque el mensaje ya era muy tarde. Parese que empezaron a dar una misa en espanol y me invitaron. Cuando le llame para disculparme parese que todos los que fueron a misa salieron a comer.
Es interesantisimo lo que hace un idoma en comun - te lo juro que el kimuchi casi casi me sabe a menudo. Se siente uno en familia... Un poco culpable porque no fui a la misa -- pero como me confieso en BLOG creo que esuvo bien... maybe. Luz y Ana Maria son unas paisanas bien buena onda y sus esposos e hija/os tambien son cool. En la bola estaba Cheto, que lla esta por regresarse a Mexico, Cecar, Manuel, el padre, Miss Colombia, y Cristina con su marido... Y ofcourse el SUMO!

En la manan me fui a JB... todo normal... los ninos muy bien. Hoy no llego Kinu y di las dos clases sola...
Cuando termine en JB, me fui a TAPAS a arreglarme para lo de Folklorico. Estaba lloviendo gacho y pense que cancelarian el festival, pero en Japon everything is on time. Muchos ninos me dijeron que venian, pero nomas vi a Nodoka y a Megumi... Estan tan cute!!!
Baile Jesusita en Veracruz... jejee y la bola de Tapas de siempre incluyendo al famoso Tomo y todos con los que me fui a Isla llegaron a hechar porras. Que buena onda, eda?
En la noche yo me fui a dar mi clase de salsa y luego me fui a Tapas... pero la loca de Pandora -- o su doble personalidad, salio con NINA a Kawaramachi. Encontre a Matsu con las manos en la masa -- estaba encerrado con una tipa solos... jejejeje Ahorita en Ado tienen una exibicion pesima de LOLITA FASHION...
no estoy segura que diablos es... pero los pen*ejos estos agarraron una peluca y empezamos a jugar. Digo.. empezaron Pandora y ellos... porque no me llevaron... Anyway... 今日保育園で子供たちとみんなで料理をしました。 本日のメニュはハヤシライスです。 林さまのおすすめではなくて、HASHED BEEFかも知れません。 カリンが怒るときのまねをしている子可愛いでしょう？？ 怒る時あたしもこんなに可愛いよ！！！Hoy tuvimos COOKING DAY en JB y cocinamos un platillo muy paresido al CURRY JAPONES que se llama HAYASHI RICE... Los ninos coperaron. En la noche, yo me fui a Konami... Hice la clase de STEP y PUMP back to back... y tenia planes de salir con Tomoyuki a bailar salsa en Euro... pero me dio una hue... ir a la misma cosa de siempre. Yo me regrese a la casa porque el sabado trabajo y tambien tengo un show de folklorico. Pero la loca de Pandora se me escapo y se fue a Shark Attack.

Jyanken is by far the most effective method I have ever seen. It works for the most simple and for the most difficult decisions. Zurine is back...
Hoy me toco ver a Zurine! Ya regreso de Espana y esta guapisima como siempre... Zaya ya esta largisima y parese que esta hablando mas espanol que cuando se fue-- pero no le pude hacer bien el test x k estaba medio modorra. Nomas tuvimos tiempo de tomarnos un cafe despues de mi clase de Kumon y antes de regresar a JB... entonces apenitas nos actualizamos pero por pura superficie... Ojala tengamos tiempo de chismear con calma muy pronto...

Getting back on track -- today we did PE at JB and I went on a nature walk... We are doing line dancing and folklorico as our warm up. The kids are so cute ne.
I went back to Kumon for Wed lessons... The weather and the traffic have been crap! No Konami today -- so just taking care of s*it around the house and stuff... Buchi had a really nice shed... her skin came off in one whole peice... She is more than a meter half now! Really healthy. I think she and KABI (fungus) are the only ones who like this weather... Supuestamente, todo regreso a lo normal. Se acabaron las vacaciones y regrese a Jelly Bean. Sayuri esta todavia en Tokyo entonces me toco trabajar con Kinu todo el santo dia. Para la clase de manualidades tenia planeado un mobil colaborativo, pero a cada nino le gusto tanto su contribucion que en vez de contribuyirla al mobil, cada uno se quedo con ella y converimoslas en collares. Los ninos fascinados.... K buenisDisque ahora no son 9 planetas, pero 13 en el systema solar. En la clase de Y y A, escribimos unos poemas acerca de los 3 planetas...
Despues de JB pase por SUNNY a hacer la compra. De regreso vi a YUKI y AKIKO. YUKI esta mas grande pero igual de pingo. Los salude bien y segui en mi camino... Todo N.... N.... N... supuestamente.
Anyway... finalmente el horario de Konami regreso a N.... Despues de que me cierran por tanto tiempo, la clase de Kayoko se me hizo muy dificil, pero sobrevivi. Ya estoy banadita y super exhausta. Ahora es hora de irse uno a la camita... porque manana sera otro dia. ¶ martes, agosto 22, 2006

Last day of Summer Vacation
これで夏休みをおわります。 明日から仕事だ。 行きたくねぇー （＞＜） 毎日こんなに遊べるなら最高。 レツ子と由紀子が楽しいなぁ。 今日レッスンを終わってから街で待ち合わせて、ご飯を食べに行った。 その後SWISSのケーキを買ってSHARK ATTACKでBENに会いに行った。 みんなで、ケーキを食べながらババヌキをしていい時を過ごしました。 Too bad! Too sad! Boo hoo... The 9 days of summer vacation are gone. Today I had class at Shirayuri Hoikuen in the morning and taught the LB mothers. We did the lesson at an Izakaya -- it was a bit tough to teach there, but I can't imagine what it will be like next time since the lesson will be combined with a pool party. In either case, it is fun enough to teach (as long as they pay) and they seem to be enjoying it well enough... what can I say?
In the afternoon I had plans to meet up with Yukiko and Retsuko for a movie... but Retsuko didn't get out class until 9pm... so instead we ended up heading out with Kouichi and Tomoyuki to an Italian restaurant. The food was OK... but the service was crap! After we headed off to meet up with Ben at Shark Attack. Once again... he was drinking whisky and we all played BABANUKI for shots... Matsu and Masaru were there... On the way we got two cakes at swiss... we hung out for a while... Yukiko and Retsuko are a lot of fun. NB: Retsuko is the sexy chick in the Yukata I spotted at Tapas a while back... ¶ lunes, agosto 21, 2006

ISLA de SALSA 2006
Isla fue lo maximo. Ya tenia mucho tiempo con ganas de ver a Orquesta de la Luz en vivo. En verdad que si son buenos -- pero los Van Van en verdad son lo maximo. Como salsera, es facil que cualquier musica me mueva -- pero al escuchar Los Van Van... preferi escucharlos y verlos en concierto a bailar con la misma bola de siempre... La Diva me cae muy bien... Improvisan mucho y le hechan rete hartas ganas al asunto.
Gracias a que Shoko me invito... este ano no tuve que manegar... jejeej... Fuimos Chihiro, Keiko, Shoko, Miki, Tomu, y yo en el coche de Ucci. Fue un clima bonito... y me toco ver a Marcelo... jeje que porsupuesto bailo divino. Tambien Rio hizo su showsito que le salio muy bonito...

Super Crazy Salsaholic
I went out salsa last night and am going to Isla de Salsa tomorrow... but nontheless, I must salsa on saturdays too!
Today I just basically vegged all day... in the evening I headed to teach my Salsa lesson and then had a quick shower before heading to town. I met up with Motomi at Shark Attack where we played BABA NUKI (Old Maid) for shots for a while and exchanged pictures from last Tuesday. Ben was there... drinking whisky and gingerale... and sniffing my hair.... wooooooohoooooooooooo....
Shortly afterthat, YAPPARI, as expected, I fled to the local TAPAS for my biggest addiction. Daniel and Atsushi are back from Okayama!!!! It was nice to see everybody again...

Today I just basically vegged all day... in the evening I headed to teach my Salsa lesson and then had a quick shower before heading to town. I met up with Motomi at Shark Attack where we played BABA NUKI (Old Maid) for shots for a while and exchanged pictures from last Tuesday. Ben was there... drinking whisky and gingerale... and sniffing my hair.... wooooooohoooooooooooo....
Shortly afterthat, YAPPARI, as expected, I fled to the local TAPAS for my biggest addiction. Daniel and Atsushi are back from Okayama!!!! It was nice to see everybody again...

There was a typhoon supposed to come in today, but it slipped through... we just had some crap rainy weather.
At 10 I met Tomo downtown and we went to the theater on the Shinshigai to watch Mad Hot Ballroom. The Japanese title is STEP! STEP! STEP!It was a cute film, I guess... It helps that we both like dance... Listening to the way NY kids talk was a refreshing experience.
After the movie we went to Caprichosa for lunch and hung out for the entire day... I bought my ticket for Isla de Salsa, we went Salsa Dancing at Euro (latin night) and went to a really good Yakitori stand!

1/2 Regular Thursday... 1/2 Not so regular....
Today I woke up late... probably around noonish and did stuff around the house... mostly just nothing... I got a call around 2 from Tomoyuki to see if I wanted to hang out... He and his friend Oda-san swung by and we took a drive out to Kikuchi for really nice Okonomiyaki. The shop reminded me of when I used to live in Kyoto. Oda-san was pleasant. He is apparently a really good gutarist and does leather-work for a living. Tomoyuki showed me his wallet and wrist-bands that Oda had made. They are really cool. 遅く起きて、朝のんびりしました。 昼過ぎトムとトムの友達のオダさんと菊池までドライブしてトムの好きなお好み焼屋さんによって帰りました。 懐かしくて、おいしかった！After getting back to town around fourish I headed off to JB. Although JB was closed, I scheduled a make-up lesson with Yumi and Ayshue. They are now doing reading exercises from an American 6th grade book! They found it amuzing and as Ayshue often says, "easy peasy!" After the lesson I went over to SHALL WE DANCE for the TOEIC lesson and then headed off to KONAMI. Today Fukuda was out so Yamamoto taught the 1 hour Combat. Poor guy -- he is used to only life-guarding and teaching PUMP... so he was out of breath after the warm-up and he ended up taking it easy near the sound system and just cueing as he made his super-comical faces. He is really funny and has gotten really cut, but he is not made out to jump around like a monkey on speed like the other instructors... hehehe Regardless, it was fun... and refreshing to hear the super old tracks like Genie in a Bottle... and So What?!?!

Tomo Cocina☆オリジナルクリームパスタトム風☆
Tomoyuki estaba muy ancioso de ensenarme su video y sus fotos de su show en Tamana. Vino en la manana y pasamos toda la manana viendo sus fotos y platicando. En la tarde no se a quien se le ocurre, pero el quizo cocinar y fuimos caminando aqui a la tiendita de la esquina a comprar ingredientes. El hizo una pasta de "ESCRATCH"... me dejo con el ojo cuadrado - y creo que ese es su GOL. Por lo menos... ya tiene otra ventaja... aparte de que es alto, semi-guapo, rico, huerfano, tiene trabajo, buen coche, baila, habla ingles, computa (y conmigo tambien)... y a parte cocina... o por lo menos se sabe un platillo para apantallar. jejeje

Yo me quede haciendo unas cositas y por fin me decidi ir a Kawaramachi. Hideki se corto el pelo!!!! Esta pelon el guey con un look muy diferente. (Por pendeja no le tome foto-pero regresare pronto para que todos se enteren.) Me encontre con unas amigas (Aya-chan y Eri-chan) y la pasamos muy relajadamente...
En la noche dormi como piedra... Vi a Matsu... dice que en su blog escribio un alguish en espanol x k siempre le cuento que tiene FANS en el oxidente... aver si le entienden las FANS... anyway... tambien me dio los updates de Fernando Bisbal. Hace una semana vi a Fer en Jeff's y me conto que se iba a Tokyo a escalar el monte Fuji. Parese que todo bien... トムが夜の英会話とサルサレッスンあるんだって。。。でも、強化賞とダンスシューズを持ってきてないので、急いで小津の家に取りに行った。 あたしが家でいろいろして、あやちゃんとえりちゃんと三人で川原町に行きました。 ADOに行ったらひできさんが紙を切ってメッチャびっくりした！！ すごいイメージチェンジだ！ 写真機もっていなかったと残念。 居酒屋JOにも顔出して、マッチャんが富士山をのぼってるフェルナンドから日本語でメールを届いたんだ！大丈夫そうだ。アフロのたくもバイトしていた。かなり面白い人です。

川尻花火大会☆MORE FIREWORKS!
In the morning O-chan came to return a CD and we went out for lunch at Tiger Man. Usually when people ask me if I like American food, my reply is no.... but this is not your typical image of so-called American food like hamburgers, hot-dogs, pizza, and so on. Tiger Man has REAL food. Their specialty, as I am told, is "SOUL FOOD", but it is a total east-meets-west experience if you ask me. The owner and his wife (Kuroki-san) built the place from scratch after visiting the States to do their research. The place is really like an American Diner. I am such a dork for not taking pictures -- but the place is all wood, spacious enought to forget that you are in Japan and always has Elvis tunes playing. The food is scrumptious! The salads are proper salads with beans and vegetables -- and a touch of RENKON, which is not American cusine, but oh such a nice touch! The menu is seasonal and fresh -- and the prices are right. I am starting to sound like a commercial, so I might as well tell you where this place is if you are missing REAL AMERICAN HOME-COOKING it is in ASODA 2-10-12... Anyway... There is more to Tuesday than Tiger Man... Tomoyuki and his dance group from Amanda were performing in Yamaga. I really wish I had seen him. He said he messed up, but I am sure it was a great show. Too bad I couldn't be at two places at once... I went to Kawashiri O-bon Festival instead! Because of the rain the dance shows were cancelled. Too sad. I met up with Motomi and her uncle and later on her mommy and daddy came too. The fireworks were beautiful -- much more of a competition than the ones at the castle on Friday. It had been raining in the afternoon, so the crowds weren't too bad and the opening ceremony was gorgeous. トムが玉名でサルサのステージがあったんだ！本当に観たかったけど。。。川尻に行った。夕方からユカタを着て、モトミちゃんとオジちゃんとみんなで川尻花火大会に行きました。もとみパパの会社の駐車場で車を止まって、少しだけ歩いてすぐ川に着きました。午後から雨たいが降ってたのでダンスショーがキャンセル。かわいそう。
They lit hundreds, maybe a thousand candles and let them float down the river. There were also small boats and larger candles to commemorate people who passed away this year. It was a beautiful ceremony with mandras and traditional Japanese instruments. It is part of the O-bon (BON FESTIVAL) celebration in Kawashiri. Surprisingly, it has a long history. 伝統的な楽器と音楽を聞かせながら、川に蝋燭をいっぱい流しました。 大きいな炉即は今年亡くなった方の数と言われていました。川尻でお盆の歴史がかなり長いと聞いてびっくりした。 しかし、とてもキレイだった！
There were at least 7 companies that participated in the competition. Each fireworks show started with lighting a triangle-shaped "arch" with the company's name.会社７つぐらい参加しました。ちゃんと覚えきらん！ 来年メモを書くね！

Aren't we cute... haahah 着てるユカタを７年前京都で買いました。 古くて、アンチックとして売れるかなー？！高校生のようにわくわくして、☆プリクラPURIKURA☆を久しぶりにとりました。 可愛いどう？！
家に帰るまえびっくりドンキーでご飯をしました。 本当にサセボバーがを食べたかったけど店が閉まった！ 残念。We wanted Sasebo Burgers, but the shop closed... so I had a whimpy salad at the Surprised Donkey... BOO HOO... I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too. ¶ martes, agosto 15, 2006

Vamos a la playa O-O---O-Ooooouuuuuuuu!
Yi de Izakaya Jo organizo un grupillo para irnos a la playa. Estuvo rete chido. Lleve el 1800 que me consigio papi... nos reunimos en el Yume Town de Hamasen a las 10 y llenamos 4 coches. Ahi mismo hicimos la compra y nadie se complico...
La gente que se regreso se regreso y los que nos quedamos nos quedamos. Los hijos de Yi son lindos... vimos un atardecer muy bonito y tronamos cuetes antes de regresarnos.

Explosions are the BOMB!
At JB, we labeled the continents and oceans on our hand-made paper mache globes.
We also learned about volcanos and went out to the park to do the diet coke and mentos experiment. It doesn't exactly have anything to do with volcanos... but since it was the last class before the summer break, I thought ending it with an explosion would be OK. The kids loved it!!! I am surprised I found Mentos at SUNNY... It is crazy ne.After work, I went to teach my salsa class and then I went out to town.... I headed out to Shark Attack for the Summer Dance Party... Wonder if it was supposed to be a Yukata party? They cleared out all of the tables and a proper DJ was in the house. Paul was mixing drinks and Yi was there. I danced a bit and hung out with Ben who was there drinking double whisky & gingerale as usual. Lots of familiar faces... YATTA!
Could only handle the non-salsa music so long and had to peek out at Tapas... once I started dancing though, I couldn't stop. Lots of people are back for OBON...

Fireworks at Kumamoto Castle
Hoy en JB los ninos limpearon la escuela y tuve una clase privada en la tarde. Manana nomas tengo una clase con los ninos de primero y despues tenemos 9 dias de vacacciones. Ya empezaron todas las festividades de Obon. Quede de verme con Motomi y con Tomoyuki para ver los cuetes en el castillo, pero Motomi me llamo a ultimo momento diciendo que estaba muy canzada y que no podia ir. Nimodo... se volvio deeto. 
Me vi con Tomo enfrente del Starbucks ahi por el Shimotori y nos fuimos caminando hasta el NINOMARU ahi mismo donde hicimos el HANAMI en abril. Como ya me habia puesto de acuerdo con Motomi de ir en Yukata, segui con el plan aunque ella no fue. Mas interesante que los cuetes es todo el mundo con sus putos keitais (telefonos) tomando fotos y videos. 
El show y el castillo, todo muy bonito.
Tambien uvo varios shows y puestos de comidita... pero despues de los cuetes Tomo se porto muy galan y me llevo a comer a un restaurante Italiano en el centro.Despues nos fuimos a Euro a bailar salsa!!! Hacia bastante calor, pero aun asi, baile un rato con la Yukata puesta. Mas tarde llegaron Shoko, Miki, y otras gentes.
Fue un date padre -- cuetes, comida, y salsa! Tomo se quedo con Shoko y yo me regrese a mi casita... avia dejado mi coche en JB y no queda muy lejos del centro... Llegue como a las 2 de la madrugada... y tengo clase a las 10 los sabados!!! ¶ viernes, agosto 11, 2006

Como ya me habia puesto de acuerdo con Motomi de ir en Yukata, segui con el plan aunque ella no fue. Mas interesante que los cuetes es todo el mundo con sus putos keitais (telefonos) tomando fotos y videos.

El Sabado despertamos como a las 7 de la madrugada. Guardamos los 80 mil futones que tiene Yoshi. No se como ni porque en una casa particular tienen tantos futones. Anyway... las muchachonas tuvieron que hacer todo por si mismas. En Japon no hay esclavitud. Se levantaron temprano para cocinar su yakimeshi whatever... あさ早く起きて、生徒たちみんなで自分たちの朝ごはんをつくて。そうして、プッチ英会話レッスンしてから川で遊びました。流しそうめんを初めて食べました。日本の文化はなんか珍しいでしょう。 おいしくて、かなり楽しかった。
Mas tarde tuvimos clase de Ingles, nadamos un rato y tomamos un descanzo para disfrutar del NAGASHI SOMEN. Cortaron un bambu bastante grande a la mitad para hacer un arollito de fideo. No se a quien se le occuren estas cosas, pero parece ser algo muy popular aqui en Japon.
Finalmente fue la hora de la recogida y los padres de las mas pequenas llegaron por ellas y otras se fueron en tren... otras se quedaron... total... yo me fui en rumbo a Kumamoto como a eso de las 3 de la tarde.
Llegando me tome una siestesita y guiri guiri me fui a la clase de Ingles con Cazu que por fin esta teniendo suerte con el clima. Luego se me ligo con la clase de salsa y de repente se nos ocurrio ir a tronar cuetes. Matsu me llamo cuando estaba terminando ya la clase de salsa y pude invitar a Midori, una de las estudiantes. Tambien le mande un mail a Fernando y resulta que sus cuates tambien quizieron venir.
３時ごろ熊本のほうに帰って、昼ねしてまたレッスンにいきました。 サルサレッスンが終わってから松ちゃんと花火をするやくそくがあった。 サルサの生徒のみどりちゃんとフェルナンドを誘って、キッドへ花火を買いに行った。 フェルナンドからメールを届いて、友達３人も行きたいんだって！ カリンの車で行くつもりだったけど、こんなに人数を増えると無理！！マッチャんが居酒屋の車を借りて、フェルナンドたちとちかちゃんも乗せました！しんじられへん！！
Hicimos una chorcha bastante eclectica y pudimos llegar al porte con muy buen transporte. Me acuerdo de un chiste bobo que nos contabamos de pequenos... Como caben 5 elefantes en un bochito? 2 adelante, 2 atras, y uno en el cenicero. Por ahi vamos. Tronamos cuetes a las 2 de la manana y luego nos regresamos a la ciudad a seguir la rumba. Fui a tapas donde me tope con el combo. Baile con TomoY y me toco ver a unos amigos que ya me hacia falta ver... Terminamos en Sihn'to Cafe y a la camita el domingo bien tempranito...

El Sabado despertamos como a las 7 de la madrugada. Guardamos los 80 mil futones que tiene Yoshi. No se como ni porque en una casa particular tienen tantos futones. Anyway... las muchachonas tuvieron que hacer todo por si mismas. En Japon no hay esclavitud. Se levantaron temprano para cocinar su yakimeshi whatever... あさ早く起きて、生徒たちみんなで自分たちの朝ごはんをつくて。そうして、プッチ英会話レッスンしてから川で遊びました。流しそうめんを初めて食べました。日本の文化はなんか珍しいでしょう。 おいしくて、かなり楽しかった。
Mas tarde tuvimos clase de Ingles, nadamos un rato y tomamos un descanzo para disfrutar del NAGASHI SOMEN. Cortaron un bambu bastante grande a la mitad para hacer un arollito de fideo. No se a quien se le occuren estas cosas, pero parece ser algo muy popular aqui en Japon.
Finalmente fue la hora de la recogida y los padres de las mas pequenas llegaron por ellas y otras se fueron en tren... otras se quedaron... total... yo me fui en rumbo a Kumamoto como a eso de las 3 de la tarde.
Llegando me tome una siestesita y guiri guiri me fui a la clase de Ingles con Cazu que por fin esta teniendo suerte con el clima. Luego se me ligo con la clase de salsa y de repente se nos ocurrio ir a tronar cuetes. Matsu me llamo cuando estaba terminando ya la clase de salsa y pude invitar a Midori, una de las estudiantes. Tambien le mande un mail a Fernando y resulta que sus cuates tambien quizieron venir.

Look Mommy, I got Crabs
Friday Morning I picked up Kinu a little bit late and we rushed off to Yoshi's house. The little kids were already in the water catching crabs. Aren't they darling??? (I do mean the crabs...heeeheee!) The morning was pretty much laid back. Yoshi's house is beautiful, right on the river. The kids just played freely for a while and then we got ready for a pot luck and somen lunch. The watermelon was nice and cool thanks to the freezing-cold river.カニ可愛いでしょう？ カニをつかまったカニも可愛いね。 吉村さんの家に着いたら、子供たちがもう川で遊んでった。昼まで楽して、流しそうめんを食べました。 そうして、保育園の子達みんな帰って小学生が来た。HULA♪レッスンして、みんな自分のご飯を作りました。なかなか上手にできました。みんなで温泉に行ってきれいになりました！ 帰ってからナイト・ハイクと花火をしてお休みしました。もちろん先生たちがすぐ寝れんかったね。 ちょこっとワインを飲みながらいろいろ話しました。
After lunch, the little ones left and the Saturday program (elementary)kids came. They had Hula with Jo-Jo played girlie games upstairs and then were in charge of cooking their own dinner. 
They enjoyed making pizza and did a really good job. We then headed off to Cocolo and Towa's father's onsen hotel for a bath. Although I thought it would be a bit awkward for me to be buck naked in front of all my 4th grade students, it was really really relaxing. We headed back to Yoshi's and went on a night-hike and did some fire works.
After attempting to get all the girls to bed, the teachers had a little pow-wow meeting with some nice wine... hehehe... ¶ sábado, agosto 05, 2006

Cicada ramen anyone?
Wednesday we did P.E. and a new teacher came to JB to watch... parese que ella va ser la nueva Sayuri.. jeje... did my regular lunch time lesson at Kumon... The whole morning had been super hot, clear, bright, and sunny. I even took my watch off so as not to get a weird tan line walking from the parking to the NISSEI building. It has been fixed that I will in fact do the Kumon event in Uto next week -- and they paid me on the spot right after I gave my proposal and my quote... woooooooheeew... so I thought it called for snob coffee-- so since I still had 45 minutes b4 having to go to JB -- defo not enough time to go home... but not so little that I had to leave right away... went to Best Denki... got ink for my printer... and popped in the WELL on the shinshigai and got two hot shirts!!!!!!!! oh yeah! The sequins are actually sewn on -- so hopefully this won't be a disposable shirt -- nor one that leaves too much evidence in the wrong places... hehehe only 1,500 yen! I think it had the wrong price tag on it, coz the other shirts like it were 4,000 yen... lucky day so far -- and then I went to Starbucks... something I can't afford (time, budget & calorie-wise) basis. When I went into the shop, it was super sunny-chan-chan and as I ordered 5 frapuchinos there was unexpected supersonic thunder and the shower-dori became just that... a freak shower. It was so weird. Nothing you could run through. I didn't have an umbrella and just ran back to my car. In two blocks of the shinshigai I got completely soaked. I mean... I couldn't have been more soaked than if I had just jumped in a pool with all my clothes on. It was taihen. Then paying for the parking was a bitch, coz the machine wouldn't take wet bills and there was no way to keep them dry as I was trying to insert them with all my mind... finallly I was able to master a skill that I will have to include in my CV from now on... luckily I had my gym clothes in the car and just changed right then and there b4 heading back to JB. Some vulture was there waiting for my spot too. I am sure they got a nice show -- but I couldn't be bothered by that time....
After lessons I went home and caught up on crap like laundry, etc... jeje... was secretly hoping that Tom would wanna hang out after his Eng lesson... but he was either really tired or is giving me pay-back for not giving him time on Mon... I was pooped though, so it was a good chance to catch up on sleep.
Thurs morning we went on a nature walk at JB. We picked up more than 100 cicada shells... Here is a new apetizing idea for ramen shops! For some reason, I don't think it will sell to well. Yummy???
Since we're going to camp tomorrow, I had to make up tomorrow's private during after JB morning prog today. Then we had afternoon prog & I went to the dance studio -- and ofcourse I made it to Combat! It seemed shorter today than usual... but it was jam packed and fun. Kinu came over and we burned cracked software while I cooked dinner... tomorrow we are heading to Yoshi's for summer camp... I am really looking forward to being naked in front of all the elementary school hula girls and their moms -- NOT! But aside from that... and being a responsible adult and all that... it should be lots of fun. Yei! Guess it is time to call it a night. OYASUMI under summer stars.... ¶ jueves, agosto 03, 2006
