Loosing track of time-- studying for my cert...
Hey y’all. I haven’t posted at all this month. Time goes by so slowly, yet right before your eyes. I figured I would wait until I had something semi-interesting to write… Basically, I’ve been going to school every day (including Sat.) for the past two weeks from 9-4 so I can get an official paper stating that I know it all—then I can start applying for “real” jobs. I was at a high school for the fist week and this past week I’ve been at a middle school. Lockers, custodians, drug dogs, and vending machines caught my eye. Some things non-existent in Japanese schools, yay? お久しぶり。今月初めてだ！ 最近面白いことがなくて、BLOGを書く気がなかったね。5月の終わりから学校に行ってるばかり。土曜日でも朝から午後まで先生面鏡のために勉強している。お久しぶりにアメリカの中学校と高校に行ってラーカーや自動販売機、掃除人、麻薬犬などを見てびっくりした。日本の学校とかなり違うね。
Anyhow, I have to take a total of three tests… one I got a perfect score in and I still have two more (harder ones) to knock down. I’ll be taking them this week. My little brother had to go off to training & the house was quiet and lonely for a bit, but now my grandma is in. 今週試験を2つ受けるつもりです。弟は残念ながら州外に軍事をしています。かわりにおばあちゃんが遊びに来ました。
I finally got to catch up with some of my other friends here. At a non-re-contracting conference in Japan we were warned of severe culture shock. They (CLAIR) basically told us that when we returned to our respective home countries we would find that our friends were boring losers who never did anything. Well, I can proudly say they were WRONG! Ha! In your face! One of my good friends just took a 16 day trip to Italy and an other one of my dear friends just got back from a short trip to Germany. Someone is having an anniversary party, and an other friend is getting married on Friday. Some of my friends just graduated, an other quit a good job to get a greater one, and the friends who are losers still haven’t gotten in touch with me. So, don’t listen to what CLAIR has to say…jejeje ここに住んでいる友達達とやっと連絡できて出かけたり遊んだりたまにしています。 ほとんどの友達面白い人生を過ごしてるね。
I have a week down so that I can get all my s*it straightened out and take my tests… then, I am going away for a summer job. I am going to be a science faculty for a glorified science camp! Wooooooohoooooo… I was asked to teach kids how to dissect a cow’s heart. I wonder if my stomach can handle it!? 今週レッスンを受けないで試験の勉強ばかりして来週夏の仕事を始めます。1ヶ月半5年と6年のサマー・キャンップ理科の先生になる。
Anyway, besides studying and a whole lot of nothing, I have gotten out dancing a couple of times. I went to the grand opening of a ballroom around here and caught some videos… I’ve also been playing with (and talking to) my brother’s dog quite a bit. She is sooooooooo cute and silly. She’s just like me—she’ll eat anything—so we are good friends. Aaaaaaaa don’t know what else to say. I could vent and complain about traffic?
